As Cara becomes the mother of three little time walkers, she finds herself chasing her own children through time.

Cara also learns that she isn't going through life on her own. She finds God in the center of time, seeing to everything that happens, and giving her strength for every challenge that she faces.

The clouds lined up in corn rows and were all fuzzy on the bottom at sunset a couple of days ago.  I've been buried pretty deep in my manuscript, but I couldn't help noticing something as spectacular as this.

Sand Hill Cranes During the January Thaw

I saw thousands of sandhill cranes flying north in the second week of January when the temperatures went up to almost 70 degrees.

AWOL

Please forgive me for my long silence on this blog.  I've been doing the story edits and the line edits on a manuscript I hope to send into the world within the next week.

Who Did I Help?

The other day, I was grocery shopping.  I saw an older lady who was wearing a frilly scarf made with that Sashay lace "yarn", and I commented on it.

While we were talking, I noticed that she was having some trouble opening one of those plastic produce bags that require an act of Congress to unfold.  I traded her the one I had just finished opening for the new one she was just starting on.

I opened the new bag and walked part of the way down the produce aisle when it occurred to me that maybe she needed more than one bag for different fruits or vegetables.  I turned around to offer her another one.  She was nowhere to be seen.  I looked all along the aisle and over by the checkout area.  No lady with a frilly pink scarf was anywhere.

It was one of those moments when I wondered if I had just unfolded a plastic bag for an angel.
